Armenia is a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The CIS citizens may use their passports for entry.

For citizens of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan visa is NOT REQUIRED

Foreigners traveling to Armenia should obtain an entry visa from Armenian Embassies in their countries or from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia immediately upon arrival. The types of visas as follows:

There are 4 types of Armenian Visa:

  • Visitor visa (V);
  • Official visa (O);
  • Diplomatic visa (D);
  • Transit visa (Tr).

The most convenient way to get Armenian visa is to fill online application for electronic visa.

What is E Visa

An e-Visa (electronic visa) is the equivalent of a conventional visa, but no paper is inserted in your passport. There is no paper application, either. The applicant does not need to visit an Armenian mission to submit an application, or to mail the passport with the visa application to an Armenian mission and wait for its return. The whole process is conducted on-line, electronically, between the applicant and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

E Visa Requirements

When submitting an application for an e-Visa, you will need to provide passport and credit card information. The application is processed immediately and in most cases, a visa is issued within 2 business days. Both Applicants and border control agents are informed simultaneously.

Applicants of the e-Visa should have a passport with at least 6 months valid before expiration.

Visitors with e-Visa will be able to enter Armenia by the following border crossing checkpoints of the Republic of Armenia: Zvartnots international Airport, Gyumri Airport, Ayrum railway station, Bagratashen, Bavra, Gogavan and Megri land borders.

E Visa FAQs

  • eVisas are valid for travel for up to 180 days from date of issue.
  • They are good for a single entry, and a stay of up to up to 120 days.
    Duration of stay is included in the validity.
  • e-Visa doesn’t grant permission for employment in Armenia
  • Armenian visas – electronic or conventional – are not sufficient for travel to Karabakh. In Yerevan, you can visit the Karabakh Representation office and receive a visa.

Cost of E Visa and form of payment

The combined application processing and e-Visa fee is the equivalent of US $15 or US $60 in depend of the visa type.

  • 120 days 40 USD

Children under 18 receive their e visas free of charge.

    I am traveling Armenia for my training purpose this coming week and thinkin gapply for VISa. I have checked in net and shown that Nepal citizen can visit there. I was thinking to apply for eVISA but when i went try to do so in the list my country Nepal is not shwoin gin the list. Does that mean that i can get Visa when i arrive there? For your kin dinformation i will get my invitation letter from my office (Armenia Peace corps) and i will also take my offcial letter for my travel.
    Kindly suggest how can i get Visa sot hat i can atten my training on time.
